Karalash, Caroline Fern (nee Mertes)-
Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital on Thursday September 17, 2020 with her family by her side at the age of 80. Survived by her loving husband, George of 60 years. Mother of John Karalash (Renee) and George Karalash Jr. (Rose). Grandmother of John Jr., Dustin (Natasha), Andy (Christine) and Kyle. Great grandmother of Ava, Haylie, Ethan, and Brayden. Daughter of the late Walter & Lottie Mertes. Sister of her twin brother, Carl (Pat) Mertes and predeceased by her siblings, Phyllis and George Cummings, Helen and Allen Lawrence and Ira and Evelyn Lawrence. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Caroline’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. The family would like to thank all the nurses and Doctors at Sault Area Hospital on 3C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (payable by cheque or online).
