SPURR, Donald James 'Jimmy'

Suddenly at home on Friday January 8, 2016, Jimmy Spurr at the age of 71. He created a legacy of love with his wife Sharon (nee Clayton) for over 50 years. Jim was the loving and devoted father to his number 1 son, Douglas. They shared a love for hockey, snowmobiling and time spent at the lake. The love and admiration for each other will live on forever. Son of the late Dorothy and Douglas Spurr. Son-in-law of Ella Clayton. Jim was special uncle to Amanda Bonin Farquhar (Ryan), and their boys Liam and Owen. Amanda lived at uncle Jim’s for many years and the love they shared for each other was special. Brother to David (Wendy), Linda Cope (James), Allan (Debbie) and Richard (Kathleen). Beloved brother –in-law to Mary Abbott (Don), Debbie Clayton, Brent Clayton (Linda), Hal Clayton, Verna Wigmore (Gord), June Varcoe (Jim), Debbie Hayes and Jim Hammond. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jim was baptised as one of Jehovah’s Witness in 1997 in Sault Ste. Marie. Many friendships were forged and Jim was very proud to call many his brothers and sisters. As per Jim’s request, family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall (742 Third Line E) on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 7pm. Sharon would like to thank Judy O’Neil for being there the last couple of years, since losing our hero Mary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to The Watch Tower Society of Canada or ARCH.
