MANZO, Lori Anne
Every once in a while, you are lucky enough to meet someone whose smile and laugh can light up a room; someone who has such a positive attitude and passion for life, you can’t help but be swept up in her enthusiasm; someone who will be your most loyal friend and supporter, no matter what. And if you had the privilege of meeting Lori and the honour of being her friend, you would have met that “someone”. Lori was the cherished daughter of Irene Smith and (late) Raymond Smith. She was the soul mate and best friend of her husband, Chris, the proud mother of Brandon (father, Henry Schmitt), mother-in-law to Annie and Nanny to their beautiful daughter, Ella Ray.Lori was also fur-mom to Shade and (late) Shelby. She was the special “niece” of Alex and Lorna MacDonald and special “sister” to Traci Mitchell and Heather Borrelli (son, Nicolas). She will forever be missed by many aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews. Lori also made so many deep friendhsips over the years and will be sadly missed by each of them. After 25 years of dedicated service, Lori retired from Zellers and committed the next 10 years of her life to raising money and awareness for breast cancer. With the help of family and friends, she was able to raise over $30,000 and also benefit from the new treatments that have been developed through research. “Live, love and laugh”. That was her motto, and that’s what she did. At Lori’s request, a Celebrtation of her Life will be in the near future, as there will be no formal service. She would also like to thank the SAH Cancer Clinic and invites all of those that she touched in her life to make a donation in her memory directly to ARCH, SAH Cancer Clinic or Run for The Cure.
