Passed away suddenly at home on October 10, 2020 at the age of 72. Father of Dawn Hooey. Grandfather of Brandon Hooey (Deborah), Walter Collins-Hooey, Richard Collins-Hooey and Destiny Collins-Hooey. Great grandfather of Phoenix Michelle. Son of the late John and Margaret Hooey. Brother of Marilynn Broadhagen (Phillip), Gerry Hooey, Brian Hooey and late Robert Hooey. Uncle to Kelly-Anne Rouix (Jody), Lori Hurd (Dave), John Lacelle (Cara), Chris Lacelle, Mike Hooey and Michelle Hooey. He will be missed by many great nieces and nephews. Special father figure to Scott Danz, Adam Tauvette, Rick Samson and Jason Paquin. Lifelong friend to Barb Bedard (Edgar), Jeanne Martinsen, Lucille (you know who you are Red), Carol Newman and June Kment. In keeping with Richard’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. His only request was for everyone to remember him for who he was, and the fun filled lasting memories. Thank you to all his family and friends who filled his life with laughter and joy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (payable by cheque or online).
